Ping it first. got to start menu, run, type cmd, press enter, and type, ping 192.168.1.254. you should get a reply after you did that. if not, connect to the access point first and go to wireless connection status, click properties, scroll down and look for the internet protocol (TCP/IP) and highlight it and click properties, mark the use the following ip address and type 192.168.0.1~100. this means choose a number from 1 to 100 onthe last slot. after that press tab on your keyboard and you will see that it will automatically generate the default subnet mask. press ok and close the application. got to start menu, run type cmd press enter and type ping 192.168.1.254. if it does not work, i do not know what else you can do. just remember, if it work or not, be sure to put the setting of your wireless network connection status and mark obtain IP address automatically. press ok and close application.

SOURCE: connected but cannot access internet

If you have a good IP address, re-boot the router. If your address starts with 169., then you don't have a good IP address.

Internet explorer cannot display webpage

If you were able to post this question online from the computer in question, you have internet access. If this was posted from another computer, you don't have access at all so contact your internet provider. If it was posted from that computer, a trip to the store for it to be checked for corruption and/or viruses/malware is recommended. If you want someone to remotely access your computer to help, internet access is necessary so you need to determine that first.

Windows Internet Explorer Errors on this webpage may cause it to work incorrectly

Internet Explorer users may experience frustration when the Internet browser displays an error code, especially if the error causes them to lose work or data.
However, many error codes can give insight into why the problem occurred and how it can be prevented it in the future.
Errors
Internet Explorer may display HTTP status code errors if it cannot display the webpage.
There are five classes of status codes that begin with the numbers 1 through 5. Each status code consists of three digits. 4xx describes client (user) errors.
4xx error codes include:
400 Bad File Request denotes inccorect web address syntax such as improper punctuation or capitalization.
401 Unauthorized denotes incorrect credentials (username and password). Users can attempt to access the page with different credentials.
403 Forbidden/Access Denied occurs when the server blocks access. The website owner may have instructed the server to block access to specific files or directories.
404 File Not Found denotes a missing webpage/file. This occurs when another site uses an incorrect link or the user incorrectly enters the website URL. Double check the address.
408 Request Timeout denotes that the the user or
user's computer stopped the request before the server could complete it.
According to Marc Liron, whom Microsoft has award the Most
Valuable Professional (MVP) award for his technical knowledge and community support, the 408 error can occur because the "user will either hit the stop button, close the browser, or click on a link before the page loads." Refresh the page to correct the issue.
5xx Errors b> Unlike 4xx status codes, 5xx status codes describe errors caused by the server that houses the webpage or file the user wants to access.

5xx errors include:

500 Internal Error denotes a server configuration issue. The error page may instruct the user to contact the website administrator and may provide a contact e-mail as well as additional information about the error.

501 Not Implemented denotes the server's inability to perform the request.

503 Service Unavailable denotes a temporary server status. The server may be overloaded or down for maintenance. Other Errors b> Internet Explorer may display a prompt that alerts the user of a javascript error or display a small triangle with an exclamation point (!) in the status bar at the bottom of the screen.

According to the UpdateXP website, Internet Explorer may display a "52 Runtime Error." http://www.updatexp.com/internet-explorer-error-messages.html This occurs because a javascript cannot find a file it requires. http://www.mediacollege.com/internet/javascript/basic/error.html You may be able to solve this issue by clearing your Internet cache.
Javascripts may also experience syntax errors when the website developed has made a mistake when writing the javascript. Website visitors typically cannot fix syntax errors because the website owner must edit the javascript. However, you can look for a way to contact the website owner to alert him or her of the issue.

Cannot access a site although have put in browser, to acitvate it, have been having error page 403, gone into browser but still will not allow access to stite requested.

HTTP Error 403 is an error message which means that you are not authorized to view the web page which you are attempting to load. Usually, the HTTP error 403 - Forbidden means that access to the file/folder you are trying to open has been denied, either on intention or owing to a configuration anomaly. You could attempt using a proxy website if the access is blocked intentionally.

Does this message happen on every webpage, or just some? Can you access the webpage using another browser?
If it's site specific, you may just be trying to access a website that has a programming error.
