Card corupt Hi Folks, I have a fuji Finepix s7000. I put a new Compact Flash card into the camera. Have taken loads of photo's but when I connect to the PC it says there are no photo's on the card and that the directory is currupt. But when I put the card back into the camera I can still preview all the images. I have tried removing the card and putting in directly into the PC. Still the same problem. I have tried about 3 differant computers. Any Idea's. I can preview the photo's on the TV which I have capured digitally however there is a significant quality loss due to the low resolution of video. An one with a majic wond or a good idea, please let me know. Cheers

Re: Card corupt

What OS are the PC's using - did you use the same card reader on all PC's can you copy the pictures off the CF card using the camera connected to the PC - rather then connect to the PC then reformat the CF card in the camera with the camera software - see if that helps

Card not initalized

Is the card larger than 2GB.
If so its too big for the S7000.
The only solution to more capacity is 2GB xd card + 2GB compact flash card.
Or just use as many XD cards as you need.

My S7000 has the message "card not initialized"

The S7000 cannot handle cards larger than 2GB.
If you need 4GB you can also fit a 2GB type 2 compact flash card which is the american standard.
For europe you will get a type 1 card this will also fit it is just slightly thinner.

Finepix s7000 new 4gb card not initialized fujifilm cf

The S700 as it came from the factory CANNOT use a 4 gig card. You must go to the Fuji USA website and download the firmware update. You will need to have the program that came with the camera installed, and the cable that also came with the camera. Make sure that you have fresh batteries in the camera. Instructions are on the Fuji website along with the download for the firmware. You are actually going to "flash" the firmware in the camera just as if you were doing a BIOS flash in your computer. Personally, I only use smaller cards and remove the pics soon after I take them. A 2 gig card will hold about 150 full rez pics. Get them out of the camera....don't save them forever on the card!

You should check the settings to see which type of memory card you are using, xD versus Compact Flash. The default xD card that the camera comes with is very small and may not support saving the size of image you're trying to capture. If you are using a card with enough memory the card itself might be defective..

i think you have broken or bended any of the pin inside the card slot, and that is creating problem. Try looking in the card slot you may find any of the connector pin broken or bended. Try straighten the pin cautiously and may your machine start working .
