Question about Insignia 42" LCD Flat-Panel HDTV
I have two Insignia LCD TV's, a 26" and 42". The 26" is newer and when I connect my UHF HD antenna, it easily identifies 9 digital HD channels over the air. The 42" (NS-LCD42HD-09), however, runs through the Search wizard and finds no digital channels. This is using the same HD antenna and in the same room. My 42" is out of warranty so I'm wondering what replacement part I should get and from where... I'm in Miami, FL.
A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

SOURCE: tv stand screws
Check the kitchen drawer next to the fridge for the screws !!
When you get new screws, use lengths 1/2".. any longer and you might hit something inside.
Don't know why this is posted under IS-LCDTV26.. I would pull a screw from my 26" and measure it, but it's most likely different than your 42"

Yes you do need a digital converter box to get the digital signals converted for the analog television. The television is not set up for digital signal reception. For more information on this problem and technical help you can got to the Insignia website.http://www.insignia-products.com go to the customer support section and tell them the model number of you television and about the question of needing a digital converter box.You can also call them at their customer support telephone number 1-877-467-4289 and give them the same information. They will be able to explain the need for the converter box. I hope this information helps you with your problem.

Testimonial: "Thanks. I resolved it by removing a splitter from being in line with the cable itself."
