This seems to be a popular problem. First I would unplug the fridge and plug it back in, sometimes it will reset the control and the solonoid for the water fill will stop.v if it does not stop that may be the water fill timer contacts are fused shut which means you need a new control board. I would also check the water basin for a float or water sensing probe. If they are dirty or damaged then it will not sense the water level and keep filling. I would also check the water fill valve to make sure it is not stuck open. If it is the board it might be easier to shut the water off and buy ice, they can be pricey. Good luck

Why is ice maker spraying water everywhere inside the freezer?

Make sure the water is coming from the ice maker by using additional light to spot the source of the leak then you possibly have a defective water fill valve leaking water slowly and causing water to freeze where water exits the tube into the ice maker. Once there is ice there and the ice maker calls for water the water either spews all over everything or is blocked from filling the ice maker cube slots altogether. The only repair is to replace your=> Whirlpool Refrigerator Water Inlet Valve W10408179 I'm here on Fixya if you have questions Appliance 911 Sea Breeze Contact Me Here

I have slimey, flaky sediment at the bottom of my glass of ice water. The water side is clear. I have a Whirlpool refrigerator with filter at bottom of freezer side. What can I do?

Your ice maker has a type of mold in it. Dump the ice turn off the water to the ice maker and let the ice maker clear the ice in it. Then get a spray bottle, put a little laundry liquid bleach and water in it and spray the tray where the ice cubes are made. . Let it sit for 10 or so minutes.then turn back on the water and let the ice maker go thru several cycles, dump that ice and then you're good to go.

Amana ASD2626HEB ice maker leaking into bin

either there is ice formed inside the fill tube where the water goes into the ice maker and spraying all over the place when the ice maker tries to fill, or the ice maker mold is cracked letting it leak out.

Ice maker will not fill with water.

You mean " Why The Water Doesn't Fill the Tray in Kenmore Ice Maker?"
Am i right to your question? Well, Kenmore brand refrigerators often have an ice maker that uses the water supply to create ice inside the freezer compartment. Some models have an ice dispenser on the freezer door for easy access, and others simply create ice and deposit it into a tray inside the freezer. While most ice makers should work well with basic maintenance and care, issues may occasionally arise. One such problem is if the water does not fill the tray to create ice inside the ice maker. Resolving this issue may be possible through some troubleshooting efforts.

1 Remove the ice bin from the freezer.

2 Fill a turkey baster with hot water.

3 Spray hot water from the turkey baster into the tube at the back of the ice maker, which may be frozen or clogged.

4 Repeat spraying water into the tube until the blockage or frost is removed.

5 Replace the ice bin into the unit.

Scotsman dc33pa ice maker

Make sure the curtain is not torn and there are no leaks from the resivoir. If ok check to make sure you have enough water pressure to the machine. Make sure you have enough water passing through the valve during harvest cycle. To check... turn the timer cam to harvest cycle. Water should come in quickly behind the curtain on the right side and the timer should advance three minutes to freeze portion of cycle and stop running. Water should spray and form ice for approximately 25min. Then the timer advances for 5 minutes into harvest cycle and it refills with water again.
