Try this - I had the same problem and this worked for me. Don't just turn off the unit but turn off and then unplug from the mains. wait 5 mins and then plug back in, turn back on and press the eject button on the unit just once - and wait for it to finish it's start routine - and then it may open - it did on mine - if not, then try eject button again.
