As long as you have an empty PCI card slot open and the drivers support your operating system no problem. Also you should know the SSID of your router and any encryption use like WEP,WAP, WAP2.
Hi
No,those aren't options for you, unfortunately you're stuck with 802.11b.It's the narrowest,or slowest, broadband wireless connection that you can get at 11Mbps. The 11g can at times attain 54Mbps and 11n connections up to 300Mbps.
As technology keeps getting faster and cheaper, the more recent cards and routers are showing up at places like overstock.com for discount prices.
Don't get me wrong, what you have will work, but I don't know if you'll be satisfied with your speed.
Remember,if you go looking for replacements, make sure your system meets,or better yet exceeds the min. requirements, and that your Op. System will support the hardware.
If this helps, would you please rate my post?
Thanks
Bob
Wireless cards come in many different forms: external USB devices, internal PCI Cards desktops, external PC (PCMCIA) Cards for laptops, and internal mini PCI cards for laptops.
What type of computer are wanting to make work with your wireless router? Laptop or PC?
