Question about Canon MV700 Mini DV Digital Camcorder
I just got a canon hg10 from ebay and some shoes from nextagebuys for christmas, the shoes were great bad sadly my new canon hg10 had a vertical line across the image. I used to only use sonys and the one time I get a canon this happens. Does any one know why this happens, and the camcorder is brand new just for you to know
This camera outputs interlaced video files. That can be the lines you are talking about if you are playing it back on a PC. The camcorder itself will de-interlace the video during playback on the actual camera, but not the file. You have to either play it (60i) with a hardware or software player that de-interlaces in realtime, or export your video file into a progressive (or deinterlaced) format. Some cheap editors dont deinterlace. I use Adobe Premiere Pro and Sony Vegas.
