Question about Kenwood DDX7019 6.95 in. Car Monitor
Upgraded DDX7019 software to 1.0.9. Everything worked fine for about a day. Then I noticed selecting an artist or songs or trying to control the Ipod through the touch screen quit working. It plays the same songs over and over. I cannot switch the songs through the touch screen. The Ipod works fine unconnected. A couple of times after shutting the radio off it began to work ok again. Then a day or two later it began the same thing. Now it has been stuck again for a week. All other parts of the radio are work fine. It appears to have been the upgrade. I guess I could back it out. Any ideas or fixes? Or anyone else with the same issues?

SOURCE: Player says "CALL" upon startup
It sounds like the telephone mute wire at the back of the set has got trapped and is shorting to ground and it then mutes the radio, remove the set and look for a trapped tel mute wire and wrap insulation tape around it to prevent it happening again

Hi If anything the stereo was probably designed and tested using a certain version of the Iphones software, now that version 4 has been released the way the IPhone communicates may have changed.
As a result the stereo is no longer able to talk to the phone and vice versa. your probably best off contacting Kenwood direct to see if they are aware of this problem and if there is anything that can be done about it.

SOURCE: Just bought the used car
Check the power from the harness. The yellow wire which is usually for constant 12v power and the red wire which should only have power when the key is turned on. check those wires and if you have power on both then the radio is fried. Try pushing the pins in the back of the radio harness in and see if maybe there is a loose pin, other than that, like i said , the radio may be bad.
