Re: PIP for Sony KV-27XBR45 television trouble shooting

If you have the original remote for this TV on the pip menu (left side slider on remote all the way up) there is a pip off button. If you unplug the unit long enough it should go back to normal. If you go into demo mode and then exit mode you will again be out of the pip. With out the original remote you cannot easily turn pip off.

You can reset the PIP if you run the autotune function.

I have a 1998 sony trinitron 27 inch television model no kv27S65. The picture in picture came on and I can't get it to turn off. Help! The info in the email is the correct model number not the info in...

You should have buttons on the remote for the TV which are SWAP and FREEZE and PIP. Pressing PIP should turn picture in picture ON and OFF each time you press.

Sony Trinitron XBR TV, picture-in-picture got

A solution I found for our KV-32XBR200 was to press Setup on top of the set, then select the "Demo" item with TV/Video. The text overlay apparently banished PIP. Verified this twice, as I'm at this page because our remote can only turn PIP on :-).

Turning OFF picture in picture!

I have an old Sony Trinitron; had the same problem... somehow turned on the pip while moving the television off its stand. I have neither the remote nor the manual.

Does your tv have a 'demo' button on the front? Mine does; when I pressed it, the pip disappeared!
