Turn power switch on right rear of machine off. Hold down the 1 and 9 keys while turning the power switch to the on position. There will be a cascading cursor run from the top of the screen to the bottom. May take a while to scan HDD. when it is finished turn off and then on again.
dissambling and taking the hard drive out of the dvr will most likely void the warrenty how it is possible.
once the hard drive is removed you may be able to plug it into your PC and gain access to the files on the hard drive. These how ever may be specially encoded and protected files that you cant open.
-you PVR may have also done a hard reset and formatted the hard drive. This would delete all the files on the PVR.
-unlike tapes, erasing a hard drive does not require you to record over it. just because nothing else has been recorded does not mean your data is still there. sorry.
you cant record directly onto the disk, it records onto the harddrive. Click ''menu'' on the remote and the HDD videos and select a video/s the click dubbing, only works with DVDRW. To transfer it to your computer you need a dvd ripper
No. You should be able to record stuff from the HDD to a blank DVR. I know it takes me quite a few tries before it actually works though. Very frustrating. Tell us what you're doing and what ends up happening and maybe we can walk you through it.
You need to go into the menu and set the "av-2 out put" to DTV, that should solve the problem, remembering to connect the "in" scart on the recorder to AV-2 on the tv.If there is only 1 scart on the recorder it will be a 2 way connection, sending and recieving a signal.
Hi .Just click on Menu-button, then with joy-stick (on left side of cam-monitor)go up tu "Rec Media for Video"...then you push joy-stik to the right...and then you see 2 lines media types -HDD and SD....again with joy-stick you push to up side (where is HDD )...and then again push joy-stick to center( to select the recording media type)...and your cam is ready to rec on HDD
