Question about NetGear WGR614 Wireless Router
My router stopped connecting to my laptop. It worked fine for a couple months, then a day ago stopped connecting. I unplugged the router, I removed the wireless network from the laptop and refreshed/added it back on the laptop, inputed the network keys, but no success with either.
Any thoughts? thank you!
This makes me think that the wireless in either the router or the laptop has failed. Will the laptop connect ok if at another hot spot? if so, then you may have a problem with the router. If the laptop will not connect when somewhere else, then the wireless in the laptop has a problem. that could be a problem with the internal wireless card, or a driver file corrupted. Check the wireless card through the device manager to see if windows reports it working properly, and make corrections there as may be necessary. If windows reports all is ok, you may need a new card.
