Question about RCA D52W20 52" Rear Projection HDTV-Ready Television

1 Answer

RCA 52 in television

You answered a troubleshooting question regarding a 52 in RCA rear projection television. The tv powers on and the screen flickers for several seconds then there are times the tv powers itself off. After a couple of attempts the tv flickers and then the picture comes into focus. Your reply to other troubleshooting requests was "replace cp150 2200uf 16v cp114 220uf 35v----cp120 220uf 35v these capacitors are on deflection board." Is that the same solution. Thanks.

You will first have to see if cp150 is puffed up on top then go from there! Also you need to resolder all pinns on FBT poor connections on alot of these sets.HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Screen Flicker

The answer here has to be generic guess. Without properly troubleshooting the set, this is a difficult guess.
This could be a power supply problem, or a clocking problem that deals with the decoding for the field rate.
