Question about Toshiba Tecra A3 Notebook
I really want to disable my onboard mouse "that small button !" its pain now and i need to use external mouse. Due to conflict pointer is running marathon on my screen dont know what to do but i sure want to switch of on board mouse on my Toshiba Tecra 9100. Its old i know but still works ! Guys help me please.
Had same problem ,mouse constantly drifted even when connecting ext mouse\tried everything to solve.
Found solution in removing keyboard , the plastic strip at top of keyboard lifts to reveal 2 screws .remove these plus a central screw on the base of the laptop. Carefully lift keyboard and the thin flat keyboard cable slides into a connector on the motherboard. The two small black bits at side of connector push towards screen to release the cable.
I then put some thin tape over the first four connections(at left hand side of cable looking at laptop front view) on this cable. The connections stand out ,i think the cable was a different shade for these four connectors.
. These control the accupoint stick on the keyboard. They could also be carefully cut out. replace keyboard making sure to clip the keyboard cable in.
I can now use an external mouse without any drifting of the pointer ,only drawback is the accupoint stick does not work at all.
