Vac worked perfectly for 2 years, living on its charge base as advised. When the battery began to run down faster I let it run completely flat as recommended, for a complete recharge which has always worked fine. This time the whole vac was dead. I've tested the fuse in plug and wall socket with other items. The cord to the base is undamaged, so there appears to be power to the charge base. The battery pack inside vac appears intact also.
Replacement Batteries cost same as a new vac, or service call, and I dont want to do that as problem seems to me to be the charge base.
Any ideas?

I can't find a replacement battery pack
The power on my Freejet Cyclonic hoover runs out very quickly when I use it. The machine is about 3 years old. How long should I leave it unplugged for the battery to run flat before starting to recharge it please? I didn't know that sometimes this will solve the low power problem.
