Re: win32 generic host error
This problem only occurs in Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack 2 (SP2)
So, you can upgrade by downloading SP3 and IE7 or you can download the hotfix from Mircosoft @ http://support.microsoft.com/kb/894391
Scoll down to:
Windows XP, 32-bit versions
Download and install.

You are receiving this error because of one of two reasons:
1) Your email account is not set up properly. Click on Microsoft Outlook, click on Tools, then Accounts. You will see a window with columns stating Account-Type-Connection. If an account is set up then click on it then click on Properties. Click server tab and you will see the SMTP server block and the POP3 server block. Both of these fields will read as follows: pop.XXXXX.net and smtp.XXXXX.net. Your Internet Service Providers name will be in the XXXX. If these are not set up properly then you cannot connect to send email. If they are filled out correctly then you need to call your Internet Service Provider and inform them of your situation. Their server is not working properly.
Hi Joy; is this a new computer unit? when did it start occurring? is it right after you install a software or new hardware? if software, try to uninstall it and if its hardware, try to remove the hardware but before that, you may want to boot to safe mode, ( tap F8 when you pc starts to boot) just to check of some software is causing this because when you boot on safe mode, only basic drivers are being loaded, please try this so that we can isolate the problem thanks
