Question about Olympus DS-30 Digital Voice Recorder
On the machine, I deleted all sound files in all folders, and yet it still came up Memory Full when I hit record. Hooked it up to PC, could only find system files in folders A to E, Audible, Music and Podcast. So (and I know this was BAD), I took *all* files off and put them on PC. Got system error on machine. Tried to put system files back on, one at a time. But machine said that there's no space to put them back on. Huh?! Tried to put various files back on got got a mixture of error code (couldn't find associated files), and not enough space. Um, help?
Format of the DS-30
If you format the recorder, all files will be removed and all function settings will return to defaults except
date and time settings.
1 While the recorder is stopped, press the MENU button for 1 second or longer. The menu opens ( P91,93).
2 Press the + or – button to choose “Format”.
3 Press the OK or 9 button. The “Cancel” indicator flashes.
4 Press the + button to choose “Start”.
5 Press the OK button. After the “Data Will Be Cleared” message is on for two seconds, “Cancel” will turn on.
6 Press the + button again to choose “Start”.
7 Press the OK button. Formatting begins and an indicator flashes
on the display.
“Format Done” displays when formatting ends
