Can't find driver for usb data cable for Verizon LG VX8350

I purchased the data cable for my Verizon LG VX8350 but I don't have the software. I need to find the driver and transfer software. can't find a driver, windows says its LGs fault , their site is so frustraiting that I'm just giving up LG vx8350

There should be an enable usb mode on the phone itself if not then you can use a program called bitpim which is an excelent program for syncing almost any and every phone with your pc via usb and will automaticly detect the driver required and offers help on how to connect each phone, the site to download it is: http://www.bitpim.org/

it is third party software so completely free to download and feel free to scan with any anti-virus and/or anti-spyware it is 100% clean

    Bought a data cable thinking it was a CHARGING cable, and then thought I'd try to download the contacts list to my computer. Downloaded the bitpim software, but the phone is not visible tothe software whether auto or manual setup to find it is chosen. Phone is an LG VX8350

Some questions to consider...

Did the phone sustain some sort of damage (water....dropped onto a hard floor)? Is the battery good? Is the battery fully charged?

Also, the LG VX8350 is about 10 years old. If the phone is really dead, you could try contacting LG customer support to see what they say. They may require you to ship the phone in for repairs...if they decide that it can be repaired.

Download pics from verizon lg phone to computer
Go to your LG's menu, and select "Connectivity" (I'm assuming here that LG uses a uniform menu across several phones).

Select "USB Connection"

Select "Mass Storage"

Now simply connect your LG to your PC via a USB cable, and both your phone memory and memory card will be recognized by your PC as removable drives. Browse through to copy, cut and paste your files.

Transfer pics from old phoneverizon LG i have a memory card but not sure what to do !!
If you computer does not have a memory card reader, you can find very cheap USB flash card readers online. You would simply need to find the correct reader (SD if you have an SD card). It should also be Plug and Play meaning you shouldn't have any software to install either.

I had the same problem with my VX8350 and when I called customer service they told me the same thing, but then I took the phone to a Verizon company owned store and they replaced the phone for free as it was a know problem with this model.

Sync Manager Problme with Vista with LG CU500
The problem is a driver issue. It is strictly a LG/Verizon problem, and not Windows. What you should is hook up your phone your computer LG USB cable and using the Music Essentials CD-ROM.

Install the latest version of BitPim where  you can find at http://www.bitpim.org/ . 
"I hooked up my phone to my computer via the USB cable, and opened BitPim. Much to my dismay, bitpim did not find the COM for the LG Modem".

However, Vista popped up the window in the taskbar telling me that new hardware was detected but could not be installed. I went to Start > Search > Device Manager
Once the Device Manager is opened up, you should see an unknown hardware profile for the USB cable/phone. In my case, Vista seemed to recognize the fact that it was a LG USB Modem, but didn't have the driver. Anyway, right click on the unknown driver and select "update driver software." Surprisingly, Vista will tell you it found a driver. Unfortunately, when when you go to install the driver 2 new unknown drivers will appear.

To fix the 2 unknown drivers, all you have to do is insert the VCAST Music Essentials disk into your disk drive, and point Windows in the direction of the files for the drivers on the VCast Music Essentials CD (in my case, the D: drive).

Windows finished the install, and from their BitPim recognized the cable on COM5.
 That should work.
