Problem for Ruud UBHC Air Conditioner
Pilot light not coming on

I have ruud 90 plus achiever furnace about 11 years 0ld. the other day I noticed that the my house was getting cold and the furnace wasn't coming on. When I tried to reset it as per the instructions it didn't work until I turned the power and gas off and tuned back on 6 hours later in the morning that it worked. It worked for 18 hours and now same problem same solution again. How can I fix this problem?

If the unit operates for a short times then locks out and is reset by cycling the power it is going into a "Hard Lockout" and this can be caused by several things. The most common are pressure switch and flame retification issues. Both of these issues will display erro code flashes.
Here are the codes for RUUD Furnaces:
Furnace: 1 blink. Soft lock out. Ignition sequence failed to prove flame. Check polarity & ground.
Flame sensor should be clean and surrounded by flame. Burner mounting screws must be
tight.
2 blinks. Pressure switch did not close when inducer motor started. Check for blocked
flue or obstructions in pressure switch tube.
3 blinks. Open limit switch. Check for dirty filters, closed registers, crushed ducts.
Temperature rise must match range stated on unit tag. Increase fan speed.
4 blinks. Pressure switch did not open when inducer motor stopped. Replace pressure
Switch.
5 blinks. Twinning circuit problem. Control board cannot confirm communication second furnace. Check twinning dip switch setting

you need to see what code is flashing on the control board and look on the door panel to see the flash codes

- I have a RUUD UGHD-125A-ER gas furnace. I have no heat and the home owners told me to check the pilot light and relight if needed. After removing the front cover and seaching for what I can only guess might be the place a pilot light would burn, I find myself at a loss. I've always had electric heat.What am I looking for and where might the pilot light be?

tengo mi ruud furnace pero prende el piloto despues laflama y esta asi como por 30 sec despues se apaga q puede ser el problema

Look in the small peep hole on the cover when the furnace will not come on look in and try to count the number of slow and fast flashes and you will have a code ON THE panel somewhere there will be a key with all the possible codes this will help you determine whats wrong.

sounds like the unit goes in lockout mode which shutting off the power and putting it back on will reset the computer now the next time it happens dont shut off the power and in the blower compartment on the board there will be a blinking light count how many times and on the door it will explain do not remove the door until you have counted the beeps throgh the little hole
