Question about Westinghouse LTV-32w1 32 in. HD-Ready LCD Television
My LCD screen keeps changing from the picture to a lot of color lines sometimes I can turn it off to fix it and some times I can't . the LCD has never been dropped it just started acting this way .any clues on what could be happening.
I have the same problem too!! Flickering lines on the whole screen. We can't even watch tv. What a piece of ****. I'm gonna throw mine out the window. It seems that we all got screwed. I know for sure I will never buy another Westinghouse product. And I am going to research the next tv I buy. (to replace the piece of ****)

Most likely your problem is in the power supply. You would need a technition to check it out. They should usefreeze spray to locate the defective part pr replace the completew poser supply about $90.00 plus shipping.

I called Westinghouse and told them about this SAME problem I was having. I had to bring it to one of the 2 repair shops they have in the whole state of Illinois... what a joke that is! This problem is caused by some wire overheating. I was told that the part was replaced and it would not happen again. Two days later the picture went out and all the colored lines came back. I am not sure what else to try when one of their repair shops can't fix the problem!

It happens to me at least once in 2 weeks. What I do is just take out the power plug out of the TV and put it back after about 10 seconds. It's guaranteed to work!

I don't have a foolproof solution, and I most definitely have the SAME problem as you. I have decided however that the problem is due to some kind of overheating. I have air conditioning in my home, but when I started placing a large fan directly behind the TV and blowing it straight through the plastic grille, it reduces this problem by about 80%. Any other solutions would be greatly appreciated!!!
