Camcorder for astronomy

Good morning, my names is Erika.

I need you help me please. I'm looking for a camcorder for astronomy. I need the camcorder with CCD. I need to record the sky in the night (stars, planets...), and adapt the camcorder to the telescopes, too.
I was looking the JVC GZ-HD6 camcorder, it's good for my needs, because I will travelling with it, so the size is very good, but if you knows other camcorder better for astronomy and of the comfortable size, please say me. My budget in dolars is between US$1.000 and $1.500.
Thanks very much.

(Excuse me, my english is bad, I'm from Colombia)

SOURCE: Cannot copy video from JVC GZ-HD6 camcorder to DVD Recorder

If you can play the vision on your tv via an av connection you should be able to record it onto the recorder. the recorder can record anything thats being played on the tv even if the other device is connected to the tv via another av connection. try this & see if it works.

My driver has been gone, I can't capture from my cam corder

Hi

Do you mean you have lost driver for a camcorder that you connect to your laptop
via usb

or do you mean the driver for an internal webcam

if it is a camcorder then you should be able to go to the website of the name of the camcorder
and download the driver and software from there

so if it is a cannon camcorder go to www.cannon.com

and look for downloads for camcorders then find your model
please make sure you find the correct drivers for the operating system that you are using
so if you are using xp please look for the driver for xp
if you are using vista please look for the driver for vista

hope this has helped you
many thanks

Cannot play my tape back on the camcorder.

Hi,

For a possible generic solution and assuming no hardware or firmware problem, pls try:
As some camcorders have a built-in RESET button, check for a RESET button. Please refer to the Instruction Manual supplied with the camera for specific information regarding the availability of this button and its function. If there is no RESET button available, follow through the steps below to reset the camcorder.
To Reset the Camcorder:
1. Turn off the Camcorder
2. Remove the battery from the Camcorder.
3. Remove the AC Power Adapter from the Camcorder.
4. Move the Camcorder power switch to the ON position.
Note: Leave the switch in the ON position for at least 15 seconds.
5. Move the Camcorder power switch to the OFF position.
6. Connect the AC Power Adapter to the Camcorder.
7. Turn on the Camcorder.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.

Thank you for using FixYa.

My camcorder is not turning on in the morning was working well, but no now, i all ready conect to plug, and i have no response, any help thanks

Bst bet here is its not getting power or responding you would then find a good camera shop in your area so they can test and see if its the battery, or the unit itself. there is really no way we could check without further details. But if it does not look as to be getting power or taking charge then you got a issue within the camera that is basically out of scope for online help.

Thanks and please do be considerate when passing thew fixya to leave ratings and postive feedback for every expert that is trying to help you thanks.

Lost software to download videos, JVC Everio GZ-MG130

You do not need to buy, you may download the drivers for your camcorder from this link

http://www.pricecomparehelp.com/page/3458.html

Just click the download icon below the picture and select run to install the drivers.

After drivers are installed, plug your camcorder to your computer and turn the camcorder on. Wait until it finishes installing the drivers for your camcorder.

Now click start, then camputer you should see several icon with one having all or part of your camcorder name model.

If you double click on this icon, you will find one or more folders. Now you can download, delete etc all of the pictures or videos stored on your comcorder.

GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!

Viewing content on my PC.

did you check your "my computer" folder? It should be with the public drives. If you AREN'T on a PC it would be in finder, next to the "Hard disk" (this will have a new name, but it should look like a disc drive) the camera will most likely be represented by a white drive with an eject button next to it.
