Bought wireless a ll in one comp for spare bdr. can't get it hooked up right

The wireless device must be connected to a cable modem supplied by your cable company for a small fee. Therefore, there must be a cable connection in the bedroom to the cable modem. After you have connected the actual cable to a modem, you will need an extra device sold by LinkSys or another company to transmit and be connected to the cable modem. This device actually transmits the signal from the bedroom. You will be able to see it on your PC or phone, and can just choose it. You may also connect it to the transmitter with a LAN cable sold everywhere.

Check your network settings
Start, control panel, networking and sharing center. Click on your connection, properties. Click on TCP/IPv4 and TCP/IPv6 and click on properties. Make sure the settings say to obtain IP address automatically and also for DNS, then reboot the modem and computer.

You did not specify if you are using a router.

Hook up

The Bose GS can only support component video set-up for the best video definition. This video connection set-up uses three RCA cables to transfer the video signal from an output device (the Bose GS) to an input device (Your TV).

Check if the back of your GS system has a set of video out RCA ports that are titled "Comp Out". You TV should then have a "Comp In" video input RCA ports you can connect to.

Hope this helps.

Xoom x6 adsl modem problem

possible issue with freequent connection loss when going over 2 comp on a network are possible issues of collisions on the network meaning that sometimes more often then not, it is possible for two comp to end up recieving same ip address fr modem.

solution: first find out ip range supplied by the router in modem. then statically assign ip address to each comp

this is done by going into tcp/ip properties of either nic or wireless card and set to use following ex

NOTE: IP RANGE USUALLY LAST SET OF NUMBERS IN IP ADDRESSING TIPPICAL RANGE IS BETWEEN 10 TO 99

ip address: 192.168.2.12 (static ip address for computer)

subnetmask: 255.255.255.254 (generic subnetmask)

default gateway: 192.168.2.1 (ip address of router)
