  • Anonymous Apr 11, 2009

The Device can´t read any discs

Same problem Matshita DVD-RAM UJ-851S. Been trying to work out for 2 solid days. There are so many complaints on this "NON" dvd playing drive I now no why it is appropriately named maSHITa. I cannot believe HP continues the use if this *&^%(*. They want more money to fix above the warranty. I will just buy another dvd drive that's dependable. Recommend you do the same.

Dvd writer

You need to first click on my computer. In the folder section right click on my computer. Left click on properties, then device mangager, then hardware. From the list click on your dvd writer to see if it's working properly or if your computer even reconizes it. It may also be disabled. If it's disabled enable it. You will also need to update the driver or reinstall it. If none of that works, you need a new dvd writer.
