I assume you had a D: partition on the same hard drive before reloading the system. If that was the case you will most certainly have lost files from that partition. (hence all the warnings and "are you sure" prompts when you used the recovery CD) But you might get lucky . try this tool http://www.filehippo.com/download_recuva/
its free and might be able to locate and restore some files.

I DO NOT HAVE THE RECOVERY IN THE USB TO RECOVER MY SYSTEM IN MY DELL MINI 1018, I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO. I WILL APRECIATE IF YOU CAN HELP ME

You will have to boot from an external CD/DVD drive and install Windows 7 from the Windows Re-installation Media. Customers will only receive recovery media if they have requested it at the time of purchase. If the operating system needs to be reinstalled, customers need this media.
If your laptop is still under warranty you should be able to obtain the CD's from Dell.

How did you lose the operating by mistake? Did you format the drive?
You can not recover the operating system from the bios. But you may have a choice when the computer boots up there may be a recovery option, you can try that. If not you would have to reinstall or try a repair from a vista disk if you can borrow one from someone. Please let me know if I can offer any other help, Thanks for using FixYa

How can i download free copy of recovery cd for my hp dv1000 because my cd lost by the shop

You can't download the recovery software, they will send you the CD via mail. Go to the HP web site Drivers and Software and put in the model number. You can do this from any computer. It will ask for the model number off the bottom of the computer and software installed(XP, Vista, 7) Most HP's that I have delt with will allow you to make your own recovery disks also, they also have a recovery partition on the drive that will recover your computer to like new condition. You will loose all stored information if you use the recovery methods. It is better to make recovery CD's using your version of Windows software.

I am unable to reinstall my windows copy

Have you created the Recovery CD's? If so, put the recovery CD in the disc drive and restart your machine. Most notebooks start from CD first and then from hard drive. If not, you could change that in it's BIOS. (Press F10 at the moment you see the HP Invent logo).

When the disc boots it allows you to choose from multiple options. Choose the options that sounds like "Restore factory defaults" or something like it.

The D-partition is only used to create the disc and hold info. There is no software there to run for recovery.

I hope this helps, if you need more help just ask.
I work at a company who is an HP Partner so.

    Greetings,
