This sounds weird but I will post it since is solved this problem for me. Despite following all the instructions I could not get rid of the "paper jam" message on my WF3540 . In desperation I tried changing the yellow ink cartridge (which was low) and after the printer went through all its "new cartridge" routine - lo and behold the paper jam message was gone and the printer worked!
Before you do a complete teardown, use a flashlight to examine every possible point in the paper feed path where the paper is jammed. There may be an easier way to clear it. In some cases I have had to clear a paper jam bit by bit using tweezers.
Hi, Disconnect the printer completely from the PC and from power.Reboot the PC.Check through the paper paths for any obstructions and remove any stuck papers manually.Connect printer to power and PC and turn it off and on.Avoid filling feeding tray to capacity.Try printing now. Hope this helps. Thanks!
hi, sorry for the inconvinience youre having on this printer, but obviously, the printers rollers aren't good, there is a hardware issue on this part and you would need to go to a service center if they can replace the rolllers or better yet call epson to ask for the warranty option, if you bought it w/in 1 yr. they should replace it w/another unit, same model, txn
If this message appears when you turn the printer on it will need a repair, this will be down to a sensor fault.
If this message appears when you try to print Check you are using the correct paper type and size settings, on the printer if being used standalone or via the printer driver if using via a computer.
Also try using a different paper type and brand ideally Epson paper as it is an Epson printer. If the fault continues the printer will need a service.
As this printer was released this year you should be covered by some form of warranty, contact Epson for a service.
