On my dsi when i touch the screen on the bottom it doest detect it also i calibrate it but it doesnt work

The DSi has two screens on the bottom. There is a the LCD display, and then there is the touch screen that is laid over it. If you are getting video but the system is not responding to touch then your touch screen is broken.

You can find kits on the internet to replace just the touch screen. Order one and follow the instructions provided.

The touch screen isn't responding very well, sometimes it will react to a tap but mostly the screen is non responsive, the keys work ok when scrolling on a menu screen. any ideas?

first try to calibrate the touch screen.Take all games out turn on then go to the very small ds on the bottom touch screen. If you can't touch it move it with the cross down then hit a. Then select the option all the way to the right it looks like cross hairs that's the calibration screen fallow instructions. If that doesn't fix it it could be a broken screen or a loose ribbon.

When you start up your ds, go to ds settings and touch the touch screen calibration. touch the stylus EXACTLY to the target thing. then try the game again.

Touch screen replaced but not quite working...

Lou,
Did you get any fingerprints on the touchscreen when it was installed? This could be part of the problem.

If not, then the screen you purchased was defective from the factory.
Thanks, Bob
