Go to the manufacturers website of your soundcard, motherboard if it's onboard audio, and download the drivers for the Windows XP operating system. Install & rebbot. Hope this helps.

Sound is nt coming from speakers?

Do you have two sound cards in your computer now or have you removed or disabled the old sond card?

FYI, looks like in the media player you havent selected the right sound output.

Try this,
1. In Windows Media Payer, Menu bar-> Tools -> Plug-ins -> Options.

2. Go to Device tab and click on Speakers ad the click Proprties button below.

3. Click Advanced

4. Select your new hadrware.(Creative Aspire 5.1)

5. Click Set as default.

6. Click OK, OK OK...

Then restart Windos media player and try again.

-------------
Another thought, make sure you have pluged the jacks right and you speakers are working right.

Good Luck!!!

SP3 screws up zero volume knob range?!

Fixing the wrong problem perhaps? May I suggest that installing SP3 to fix an unstable SP2 XP install is just wrong, masking the problem,
- not fixing it. Buy a new Hard Drive - install a clean Win XP and I bet all of your Edirol problems ( and others ) will vanish. Don't touch your old drive, But once you are happy with the build install it as a slave data drive.

Sound Driver Is Not Supporting

Dear Abdul Raheem

These Server Operating systems have compatibility issues with some hardware. I would do the following:

Get updates from the 2003 Server site; it checks for drivers also and updates them.
Write Acer Tech Support, tell them you want updated drivers for XXXXX soundcard.

Put your CD with sound drivers in drive. Go to hardware install in C-Panel and ask it to search for updated drivers on the CD. Or Right Click My Computer> Properties> hardware and select the yellowed gizmos. One of them will be your sound. Right click and select UPDATE DRIVER with the CD already on drive. Follow instructions. If you don;t have such a CD for your soundcard, find the drivers from Acer tech Support.
