My daughter put a password on my computer and now its on a blue page asking for a password how do i rest the computer

Hi Dianegooch20
There are two types of user 1. Administrator 2. User
If you are a user and haven't set the administrator password then you can try to safe boot the steps given below
To use a Safe Boot option, follow these steps:
  1. Restart your computer and start pressing the F8 key on your keyboard. On a computer that is configured for booting to multiple operating systems, you can press the F8 key when the Boot Menu appears.
  2. Select an option when the Windows Advanced Options menu appears, and then press ENTER.
  3. When the Boot menu appears again, and the words "Safe Mode" appear in blue at the bottom, select the installation that you want to start, and then press ENTER.

How do I restart my computer from the hard drive do I press ALT and F10 or can you tell me how to set up from a XP pro boot disc

if you want to boot setup from xp pro boot disc, you have to go first to the bios/cmos setup of your system, from there check the boot order, if you find that the first boot device is your hard drive change it, make your cd/dvd rom your first boot device and second your hard drive save the setting that you have made and restart your pc, before you restart insert the installation disc, then reboot, from there it will automatically boot in the xp pro set up disc
