PIP is on (Picture in Picture) either from your cable box or the TV. Check your remotes for "PIP". If you still have an issue, post a comment and I can help you more
Common problem on rear projection TVs. Either replace the convergence correction board or repair it. Usually a job for a technician or at least someone familiar with electronics. The fix is to replace the STKs and probably a couple of resistors. Can provide more info if needed.
Maybe the best way to adjust the screen is with the manual magic focus..instead of letting the tv do the auto change it to manual and see if you can adjust the convergence yourself. I have this same model and once in the manual adjustment you want to make sure you see all white lines....if you seen any blue or red that is the color that needs to be moved towards the white line closest.
Once you think you have it lined up nicely hit "exit" on your remote and option 1....
If you have a warranty send it to Nintendo to fix it.They'll might replace the screen. If there unable to fix it or don't have a warranty just buy a new one.(PS.The games he'd play on the old ds dosen't save the games on it.It saves on the DS game card.)Hope I could help.
If you can not correct the convergence with custumer settings is because something went wrong inside the tv and it has to be diagnosed and corrected by a service technician, you are correct there are setting you can access with the remote but are usually adjusted after you have replace a major component.I would suggest you call for service,I do not believe is a problem you created or you could have prevented.
