I love this monitor, but sometimes the touch-sensitive power button just isn't! I don't know if it sensing light or resistance, but what works best for me is to cup the entire power button area in my hand. A light squeeze, with the heel of my hand on the power button symbol and my fingers wrapped around the back of the monitor seems to give me the best results. Does anyone else have any ideas? I'm thinking about using some electrical tape on the back of the monitor to limit the amount of back lighting the sensor receives. I love this technology and don't want Samsung to abandon it, I want them to perfect it!

When it's on, a red light is on the bottom right corner.
If it is, then you should make sure you installed the "drivers".

The monitor won't turn on unless you install the CD that came in the packaging (the drivers).

It can be downloaded here on the Samsung website.
At the moment, it's here:

Try to touch the monitor in the area where the on/off sign is, it took me a while to figure that it has a touch sensitive on/off switch.

Samsung T220 Screen Flicker

When the LCD monitor display flickers and or has a black screen then the fault is usually a faulty inverter or the CCFL lamp. When you look at the screen at a sharp angle and you see a dim image then it is a backlight problem and it is caused by a faulty inverter or a CCFL lamp.

Auto Adjust not working

The monitor is bad.
It's all over the internet... It seems to be a lot (of production line) issue... I am in BRAZIL and I bought one that's behaving the exact same way.
Dozens of forums in Portuguese (our language here, ICYDN) relate the same problem... Also checked English and German... STAY AWAY FROM THE T220.
