Question about GE 24 in. Profile PDW9200J Built-in Dishwasher
Dishwasher was making annoying ringing alarm when I got home. Only way to stop was trip circuit breaker. No buttons work, machine is dead and after 1 month still makes sound when I turn circuit breaker back on.
SOURCE: power outtage blues
Unfortunately, your dishwasher may have experienced a power surge when the power went off and dmaged some internal components or the control logic. There is no way of knowing the extent of your problem without a thorough diagnostics to it. It could be something as simple as a circuit borad component, stuck relay but this kind of repair is probably not something you would want to tackle yourself unless properly trained and with the proper test equipment. If you have homeowners insurance, it may cover the damage.. If not, then a service call is most likely required. Here is a link to the GE website for yopur dishwasher but your model is not PWD9200 and IS PDW9200 http://genet.geappliances.com/DocSearch/Dispatcher
Hope this helps..
