Question about Hitachi DZ-GX20A DVD Camcorder
My camera dropped from my dining table on to the floor and when I
tried to turn the power on, it would not power up. There were no visible damage to the camera. I was thinking that it might have blown a fuse or something. Please, send me any info or solution you may have on this situation.
Hi There, Impact damage could cause all sorts of problems. Some may be minor and some major. Unless your an electronics tech or you feel up to opening the unit, you may not know what your actually looking for. A repair shop might be your best bet. If you do open the unit, check for broken cct boards, poor connections especially around where the battery terminals are or where the external power supply plugs in?
Good luck, mr cicmo

My name is Rick and I'm a professional repair technician with over 20 years in the business and have repaired many of these. I'm semi retired and work from home with little overhead so I can keep repair costs low. If you decide to have the camera repaired, please click HERE for a directory listing that suits your needs.
