What you can do is take off the back pannel and there is a cord on the top of the board that looks like a computer board, there are many boards in the TV but the one I am talking about is twords the bottom where the video jacks plug in to the TV. Ok once you have located the pannel there is a cord on the top kinda tword the right side, it is many wires inside a black covering. What you need to do is just simply unplug it and plug it back in, do this as many times to try to fix the problem.

Either that season's gas dried in the carburetor affecting it's operation or you are drawing air through a fuel seal somewhere. Both are common with this model. Sometimes will start from cold and run up to half speed until you take the choke off. Then it just dies from not drawing gas. Status proved if it revs up if sprayed with short blip of ether from 7" away at the moment it dies. Do not try to keep it running on ether more than a minute. Like pure gas, it'll burn up the engine or worst. Do not use ether if the air is not moving. Ether may collect and explode.

When I first turn on my TV, I get horizonal faded lines

it probably has leaky capacitors in the hyper board or the video process board, this repair requires a qualified tv repairman, you can't do it yourself, alot of actual repairman can't handle this repair. it will get progressively worse as time goes on the more leaky the capacitors become.

Screen turns green then shuts off

Sounds like the green picture tube is arking or shorting out and at that very second the safety circuit senses the problem and makes the complete set turn off,the only way to repair is the replacement of the green picture tube and it can be too expensive.Maybe if you move the complete set from one side of the room to another you might get lucky.Maybe!!!!!!!!!!! is worth to try.
