Battery is not a known issue for this model, However 3rd party batteries causes some self discharge issue. Make sure the battery is not defective. The little charge circuit on the battery might have different threshold voltage also. Normally battery should show around 4Volts when fully charged. After save your data try full reset and complete discharge of the battery and try again
have you tried a hard reset? Todo a hard reset, First press and hold the power button, while holding the power button use the tip of the stylus to gently press and release the reset button. wait for the logo to appear then release the power button. when you see the message that warns you about erasing all of the info on your hand held press up on the 5way navigator to finish the reset
The Tungsten is an excellent PDA You do have to be careful with how you handle it if you've dropped it too many times or set it down too hard or whatever something inside will get cracked or disconnected. So you may want to open it up (personally I use a really small screwdriver but there is a kit for 9.95 on PDAsmart.com that comes with a Shim like tool that is really useful for splitting the Tungsten open because its not easy getting it open and closed)any way open the back up and make sure everything is connected and clean especially the connectors to the screen, battery and USB/charging plugs. You may also need to try charging it overnight. If you haven't run the PDA in a while its going to read a full charge regardless of how much of a charge its actually holding. Also, there are alot of other places to get A PDA repaired do a little research and find a place near you that will repair a PDA. An official Palm repair is almost always going to cost you more than anywhere else.
