Question about Lands Phones

Open Question

Our Uniden TRU9485 has multiple listings for the remotes. We have 4 remotes but there are 10 showing up. It started when we had to replace one and now there are multiple bases and other units. I tried resetting the system (deregistered remotes, removed power and batteries and waited 30 minutes but no luck) Thanks, Al

From the manual:

2) With the main base in standby mode, press the MENU soft key on the base.
3) Press /vol/∧ or /vol/∨ on the base to select H S R e g i s t r a t i o n, and then

Uniden TRU9485 (This didn’t work for me but this was the first instruction from Uniden Tech Support)

TO RESET THE BASE UNIT:
Unplug the base unit AC adapter.
Hold down for 15 seconds the DND, * and “menu” soft key (the middle silver soft key under the LCD) while plugging the base unit AC adapter back in.
All the settings should be reset.

Uniden TRU9485 (Worked for me)
ALTERNATE WAY TO RESET THE BASE UNIT:

Unplug the base unit AC adapter.
Hold down for 15 seconds the DELETE KEY (zero with a line through it) while plugging base unit AC adapter back in.
All the settings should be reset.

UNIDEN cordless phone model TRU9485

Greetings Joan Melancon,

Let me guess: To set the clock... the base unit controls everything!
(once it is updated ... everything will be updated).

TRU9485 is a remote and WILL BE automatically updated from the base.

At the BASE... Press
"menu"... scroll (down arrow) to "GLOBAL SET-UP"
Then press "OK"

"Date & Time" should be the first option to appear
Then again press "OK"

The first character of the "Date & Time" is flashing
(ready for update).

use the up/down... right control to select numbers to change.

Good luck...

How do I turn the answering systyen on & off

You can do this from the base or the handset with the unit in standby mode (not being used for a call or access other menus).

From the base press the Answering Machine On button (at the bottom right of the keypad on the base).

From the handset, press the message softkey (this is the right softkey). Remote Answering Machine Operation will show up on the screen and the unit will announce the time and number of messages (new and old). Press 9 during the announcement. You will hear Answering System is On and the current greeting.

The owner's guide is available here: http://www.uniden.com/products/productdetail.cfm?product=TRU9485 . See page 57.

I hope this helps.
