Same exact problem! Sorry I'm no help > My Sansa e250 has been working fine for about a year. No problems, I can charge and sync it. > Now all of a sudden I have a problem. > My PC does not see the Sansa. Why? > I enter recovery mode. I see: > Welcome to "Recovery mode" Please connect USB Cable. > I connect the usb cable AND NOTHING HAPPENS! > Yes I read all about recovery mode on the internet. I tried it in both MSC mode and MTP mode. > How can I get my computer to see the sansa? > If my PC can not detect the Sansa then I cant get a firmware update now can I?

SOURCE: rca mp3 player wont connect to computer

you can easily download the software by visiting the samsung website - www.samsung.co.uk and going to their support/download page.

The most common faults with this player are

1. The touchpad fails

2. The USB part of the device fails.

These are hardware faults and cannot be rectified other than replacing 1. the touchpad and with 2. the whole unit.

Makje sure you have loaded the software correctly first of all and have restarted your computer.

If you cannot see the player in windows explorer then most likely it is the usb hardware problem.

SOURCE: i cant put pictures on my mp3 player

I had the same problem, I went to the phillips support site for this player and had to literally uninstall and reinstall windows media player 10. Also, make sure that the plugin is installed and not just the device manager software. ( Go to control panel, and then add and remove programs - and look to see that you have BOTH the device manager and the plugin installed.) if you need to install the plugin it can be found at this link:

Deleting music sony nwz-s616f mp3 player

MP3 players can only play music files in mp3 file format. When the player is connected to your computer you can add and delete the music files. You can download mp3 music files from the Internet to your computer and then copy them to your MP3 player using the USB cable. For your CD collection, you need to convert your CDs to mp3 music files onto your computer or download them from the Internet and then copy them to your MP3 player after you have connected the USB cable to the MP3 player and the computer. You can do this using Windows Media player and Rip the CDs - Media Player will create a MP3 music file for each music track. Having problem syncrinizing music to mp3 player

if u used window media player its will mess up your mp3 by duplicating songs and not leting u play songs. What i do is connect it to the computer and it should pop up. DONT open window media player. Open the files and add your music by dragging them into your mp3 from another folder. This only works if you have a different folder of music. It should work. If all your music is in Widows media player it wont work. Also try deleting all your music from ur mp3 but copy your musice onto your computer first. Good luck i hope i helped.

Sansa 4Gb Wont let me add or delete songs anymore!

If the PC does not recognize the player, try this: disconnect the player from the computer, turn it off, hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard.

Problem playing music

I connected it to my computer and erased all the songs and then I went to "My Computer", found the drive it was connected to, right clicked on it, and then chose format.  After formatting, I put the songs back on and it had solved the problem.

You can manually delete the music from your computer. Connect the device. Go to My Computer>Device name Double click on the device to see the contents. You may or may not have a "music" folder, look in there to manually delete the music. Best of Luck.
