Is the charger working? Try measuring its output voltage with voltage meter. Borrow one from a friend if you don't have one. It is usually between 18 and 20 volts.

It won't charge and the power and batter light are all blinking

The first steps you could apply are-

1. Check the plug points. Test some other charger on the same plug point. If it's working, then go for the next step.

2. Use an alternate acer aspire 3000 charger. If you have a friend with the same laptop / same charging adaptor, borrow it and see whether the laptop is being charged from that. Or you could go to an electronics shop and see whether they have a spare charger just for checking purposes. If no adapter works, then it's not the adapter's fault, it's the fault of the laptop charging port.

3. To be sure, you could attach your adapter to an extension cable (a spike guard would be suitable. It prevents sudden peaks in current, thereby protecting your laptop from damage) . If it doesn't charge still, it's a fault within the laptop.

To check the charging port within the laptop, you'll have to go to a hardware specialist (assuming that like me, you're not adept at hardware!) . The specialist should guide you properly.

If the laptop is within the warranty period, you could try the service centre. Hope I've helped :)

My charger was damaged a couple months ago and i finally got a replacement. Now when i tried it, the light comes on on the charger, but the computer will not charge or turn on.

HiHow was the charger damaged? maybe the battery was also damagen.... try to borrow a friend's charger or battery and try them with your laptop.
If they dont work try taking your laptop to a service center.

Good luck.

My brand new acer laptop will not charge. It says plugged in, not charging. What do i DO!!!!

Borrow another same voltage output from a friend or test it at a shop. That is either a 18.5 or 19volt charger. If thats it contact Acer they will ship you a new charger if its les than a year old. If it still wont charge then its a bad battery as well contact Acer.

The charging light remains red and never show green. Even when left for days to charge, it will say 83o/o left every day and i don`t no what the cause is.

Either the charger is damage or the battery is damaged and need replacement of any one of it.

But try to borrow first the charger if you have a friend and check if it is charging?

Are you sure that the charger is working?
If not it could be the battery slot. There is nothing you can do on your own except swap batteries ant try.

Voltage may have been reversed on charging system and now the battery will not charge. Computer does not see charger, thinks it working off of battery only.

Troubleshooting for this is pretty straight forward.
  1. Try a different AC adapter (Borrow one if you can from another D-Series Dell, replace the adapter if you can't)
  2. If issue occurs with a new or known good AC adapter, then the motherboard will need replacement

My Dell latitude d610 charging circuit not working on board

What needs to be done is the jack that your adaptor plugs into has solder points underneath it. All the solder points need to be resoldered to make sure that there are no cracks in the solder that are preventing the jack from charging your battery.

After this is done if the laptop still isn't charging then if you know for sure your using the correct ac adaptor with your laptop then at that point the moterboard would have to be replaced.

Unable to start up laptop

Make sure that your batteries are fully charged. Also the most likely problem is that your laptop charger needs a checkup. try using another charger of same model (Probably u can borrow one from your friend who uses similar version), if charger change doesnot work, repeat the same with batteries too. This should fix the problem. if step 1 & 2 does not help, probably u have a hardware level problem with your laptop and need a technical support from your vendor / service company. All the best.
