Creda eco washing machine won't spin

I have a front loading creda 1000 eco washing machine that will not spin at all. the timer seems to work fine, but the drum does not move at all through any of the cycles. the belt is in tact, but the motor isn't moving. last time i tried it, it was turning a for a little bit. again nothing. i don't know wether it may be the brushes or a balance sensor or what. Please Help!!!!! The drum on my creda 1000 supaspeed ecowash (17085/17086)does not turn.
i've never opened the machine before - but am willing to give it a go - how do i do this to fix the problem? Can i get a manual?

Creda 1000 Supaspeed washing machine.  Drum will not turn, goes through all motions but will not wash or spin. Water comes in and goes out no problem.

It sounds like it needs new carbons fitting in the motor.
It is a fairly straightforward repair.
Remove the top cover, screws at rear, and slide top cover off towards the rear.
The motor is located at the top right right rear, you will see the drive belt.
Slacken the bolt that holds the motor, and push the motor down towards the top of the drum.
You will see the 2 brush holders, they will be either black or white, pull the wires off the holder terminals, and depress the plastic`lug that holds the brushes in place, slide the brushes out of the motor.
fit new genuine Hotpoint carbons, and follow instructions on packaging. Push the leads back on to the carbon terminals.
Tighten up motor, and make sure the belt is reasonably tight.
Job done.
Test on final spin before you refit top cover.
Plz rate my solution.
Thanks.

My Creda simplicity 1000 washing machine wasn't draining or spinning now there's no power light coming on and does nothing when i turn it on is it un repairable

It could be a lot of different things. Maybe the timer. If you know someone who has a volt meter and knows how to use it. Find you machine with a Google search, look for trouble shoot washing machine timer. That's the way I would do it. You want to look for a open in the electrical system *{the switch} like a broken wire inside the switch. Make sure to unplug the machine first. You won't need the power on for the first tests. A volt meter can be purchased for under $10. and any home repair store or box store.

The fast spin cycle on my creda 1000 will only spin slowly, leaving clothes wet,any thoughts

Hi,

This machine has a variable spin-speed setting. You can set the spin-speed RPM (between OFF and 1200RPM) using the smaller dial located next to the main wash programme selector dial.

I hope I'm not stating the obvious, but appliance "faults" are often simple and don't require taking the machine apart or calling a service engineer. If you've already tried the above suggestion and your washing machine is still spinning slowly, please post back and I will try to assist you further.

BElectric

Creda IWD12 makes noise when spinning but still works ok

Either a concrete balance weight is loose or broken, or the main drum bearings are worn. Spin the drum by hand, and if it feels noisy or rough, then it is the main drum bearings that have failed.
