Question about Canon PIXMA® mini260 InkJet Photo Printer
I see that many Canon printers have this problem, this printer is brand new out of the box - when I turn it on it comes up with
Error - 5100 - Error Code.
I have downloaded and installed the latest drivers etc... nothing seems to work.
Looking for you advice
I'll presume you are confidant you have installed the LATEST drivers and software according to provided installation instructions.
I'll tell you though, I think in all likelyhood you did. Why? Because per Canon technical documenation, error codes 5xxx thru 9xxx displayed on the device's LCD have only a two pronged solution troubleshooter:
SOLUTION 2: The mini260 may require repair.

After all, it wouldn't hurt to let their tech-rep have a crack at it, but more importantly, corroborate/confirm it's in need of repair (potentially adds one more bullet to your chamber).
