Why is my tape drive unable to do compression in Computer Associates ArcServe for Novell Netware?

CA ArcServe for Novell Netware (All current versions through v6.5) DOES NOT support software data compression. CA ArcServe products only support hardware data compression or no compression at all. If the tape drive is a software compressed drive you will only receive a maximum of 2.5GB of data on a single data cartridge.
