When my phone is on the charger it will charge and power on. However, once it is on, if im not playing with it it will power off. It will also power off if I remove the charger. Another thing that is wierd is that when its charging in the off position, the bar under the battery will keep "refreshing" itself.

Sir, the problem may be in firmware. I suggest that you reformat it first. But after reformatting it and the problem is still there, the problem must be the hardware itself. To remedy that, you must replace each and every parts that you think has the problem like for instance the connector in the phone where you plug in the charger.

Bad battery, you can get one pretty cheap off of www.uxcell.com for like 3 or 4 bucks, as far as using a generic charger, I never heard of that before, if you know someone with the same phone, ask yhem to use the battery for a second, and try to charge your phone.

Hey! My Sister has the same problem. T-Mobile said that it is the battery. There was a defect with some phone batteries. You can buy the samsung battery from T-Mobile for like 48$ of go to cellphoneshop.net to get it cheaper. works great and is cheaper to replace than 48$ samsung battery!!
