Memorex MD6451BLK will not work, just says "open" when play button is pressed

The default password is 1234.
or..
Memorex MVD 2037 & Memorex MVD 2051

1. Turn on the Player.
2. Press the Open / Close button, (keep tray open)
3. Press the Clear button.
4. Press 1,3,6,9.
5. Press the Region you want, 0 for Region free.1 for Region 1 and so on
6. Turn your player off and then back on.

N.B if the hack does not work you may find you have to ommit step 3 and try again.so the hack will be

1.Turn on the Player
2.Press the Open / Close button , (keep tray open)
3.Press 1,3,6,9
4.Press the button for the Region you want, 0 for Region free, 1 for Region 1 and so on.
5.Turn your player off and then back on.

Not to worrry , but there is a sliding button, knob that makes the set pause and called as HOLD. All you need to do is to slide the knob back,look at teh side of the door/set. please look carefully even if the pause is pressed twice.

Pressing Open button on your remote control to open the drive tray, Press the 2403960 button on your remote

control
Press the Enter button on your remote control to change the region to 1 for
region 1, 2 for region 2, and so on, or 9 for multi-region playback, Press the Open button on your remote

control to close the drive tray, Power off the DVD player, Power on the DVD player

Turn off the ESP by pressing the ESP button, see if that helps?

Try this hack - it may work for you.
Turn on the Player.
Press the Open/Close button.
Press the Clear button.
Press 1 3 6 9.
Press the Region you want or 0 for Region free.
Turn your player off then on again.
I understand if it is a model "B", it might not.

Insert the iPod into the dock. The device should turn on and switch to iPod mode. If not, turn it on and click the Mode button to swtich to iPod mode. Use the play button on the device to play, or use the iPod's controls to navigate to the music you want to hear and press Play on the iPod. Make sure the volume on the Memorex mi4019 is turned up.

Aha. I just found a solution. Press DVD menu on the lower left.

No offense but Memorex is junk.
Get you money back and try walmart or someone else

When I press the power button, it will not work at all. It won't play a disc and the screen won't show that it is on either.
