Since plugging a video/audio mini-jack from my Macbook to my Toshiba TDP-T80 I have a vertical line of light running centrally, top to bottom of the projection. The lead was mini-jack to video/twin phono. Looks like permanent damage......

Reset the settings to factory default and make sure the resolution, clock, and phase are set properly.

Seeing vertical lines on the picture

do the lines follow the same vertical pixel width from top to bottom or do they cross pixels? first try going into the menu and select auto-adjust. it just might be out of sync. you can adjust the resolution as well. if nothing changes, you might have a bad dmd (digital micromirror device). if that's the case and the projector is pretty old, replace the projector.

Projector will display image, but it has vertical lines running through the image. If a heavy object is placed on top of the projector, the lines disappear and will not come back.

This likely a conncetion problem between the main board and the light engine. The added weight could be making the connection complete. You could open the projector and remove the ballast, power input board, and shield to remove the main board and clean the part that connects it to the bottom of the rear of the engine and then reseat the connection, BUT, this is a major task if you don't know what you are doing and is best left to a tech or living with the weight being on the unit.

Infocus DP8400x blue hazey line

this discoloration is the begining of the lcd panel being thermal damaged. this happens when the projector is being used for a long period of time and then being shut off using the switch on the rear of the projector instead of the on/off on top or the remote. to fix it it will have to be replaced. very expensive major repair.

Toshiba TLP XD-2000

There are two things it could be...

First, how far are you trying to run the cable for? When you run longer distance a humbucker might be needed. Or it means that the internal distribution output has bad vertical and horizontal connections.

We have an InFocus L120 and the is a vertical line with a band of horizontal lines about three inches in width that flicker from the top to the bottom of the screen.

The connection between the main board and the dmd board might have some dust in the connection. If that doesn't work then your dmd board needs to be repaired or replaced. I do projector repairs if interested my ebay id is gtitubro

I just read a post that said tap on the top and the line will go away. I tried it on mine and it worked! I had to tap it fairly hard. I just kept tapping harder and harder on the plastic in front of the buttons and voila! The vertical white line disappeared!

Bad lines on Infocus IN24 images

Hi Dan

The only way to get rid of this is to either have the Mianboard repaired or replaced.

If the Projector is stil under warranty - it will cover it.

If not - It is quite expensive !

Hope this helps you.
