check the power supply to the unit. if no voltage is found on the unit . check the wall power at the wall socket ?? check the breaker box for tripped breakers if breaker to the wall outlet is off but good ,leave as is . check for grounds at the unit . if no grounds are present , turn on breaker . if it breaks with the dryer still not plugged in , search for any appliances connected on that line and unplug all. plug in the dryer then start it .if breaker opens , something is wrong with the dryer. call a qualified technician . thanks .

is the blower blowing? are u getting a full 220 at the outlet? in some machines if u only get half or 110 volts u may have enough power to run motor but not run the heating which takes a full 220, also if ur motor has a bad winding or ur not getting full power at outlet, may also wannt to check terminal block on dryer

Will not start. has power push the start button just dings

Make sure the door is closed tightly - if your sure the unt is getting power, depending on your unit it may have a safety on it to prevent start (if its gas for example). If that isnt your solution please post more information on your unit: make, model, age, electric/gas/propane, etc. See if i can help you futhur with more information. How can you be sure its getting power? Did you test the outlet

Dryer completely dead. checked outlet with meter power is there.

dryers have a thermal fuse that if the unit overheats, it will stop the unit from running. try to find what brand you have and then look for a small round disk item with 2 small gauge wires on it.
it should have a connection across the 2 terminals to make the unit run.

I have no power

Check all your breakers/fuses panel if none are tripped or blown we will assume power is @ the outlet, check it w/ a meter if you have one. I have never seen a reset button on one before but there could be a internal fuse inside the unit, to check for that you will have some disassemble work 1st

Kenmore Elite HE3 Dryer PF on control panel,

HI, there may have been a slight power failure within the home breaker unit or the dryer may have lost power to the control for some sort of reason.

I recommend a thorough inspection of the terminal block on the back side of this unit. make sure the power cord is attached tightly and the wall outlet is secure and holding the power cord correctly. if everything looks great with the terminal block and the power cord is plugged in the outlet correctly, simply unplug this unit for 5 minutes to reset the control. after the 5 minutes are up, plug the unit in once more and the PF alert should reset.

Make sure the breaker box in your home is working properly. (the actual breaker switch for the dryer must be in the on position)

Dryer does not turn on when button is pushed. There is power to the outlet and power going through the cord to the dryer i checked both with a tester. The lightbulb inside the dryer does not come on and...

Sounds like an electrical issue. Are you sure the outlet is wired correctly? You need a 120 volt line going to one side of the outlet and another separate (not split off the first line) 120 volt line going to the other side. You also need a neutral line and a ground. You should measure 240 volt from one 120v line to the other.
