You probably have a mbr virus.

Download The following iso listed below. It is the latest version of the Kaspersky rescue disk. You need to burn it to a CD with a program like Imgburn (Which is also FREE like the iso file). Then you need to boot from the CD and run the scanner. It should fix you right up.

Ms-7548 mobo no post beep and screen goes black after startup

this sounds like you have picked up a virus there are a few that will do this, you will need to reformat the hard drive. or use a backup disc if you have one made to install on computer. make sure you only go into computer in safe mode and use virus software to try and remove it. this virus attacks the startup file on the hard drive, and the reg files allocation. hope this helps failing this the hard drive has wiped its self when it has not shut down properly.

Hi! I bought a new asus eb1505 4GB RAM 500G disc. I switched it on, it asked me for some settings (language, EULA etc.), I set an username and a password. Than it said it should restart. Ok. After...

What I would do is to on post pressing your PC's power on begin to click over and over till you see a screen the F8 key. Go into Safe Mode or you may be able to Start Windows Normally. If this does not work then you must either do a Recovery or Run Windows disk.

Inspiron 530 will not start up - CMOS battery will not come out

It sounds to me from reading all of this information you may need to re-install your operating system again and go with Win 7 and not Vista that would be my advice. 3rd party programs always create havoc on some machines. Stay away from that kind of thing and just use your machine as if you just bought it after re-installing the operating system again. You really do not need all that cleaning and just software **** on your machine. Just a good suggestion for the indigestion. John

This can happen when there is two problems.. One the computer might have been affected by virus.. Or the other thing might be the OS corrupted.. Try to get into safe mode and check if the system is working fine.. If it works well there try to do a system restore to a place wr it was working well.. If in safe mode also it doesnt work well then go ahead and reinstall the OS...

Laptop is working fine until the screen goes black

The problem of black screen can also happen in other versions of the Windows. However, the symptoms and effects of the problems in all operating systems are almost same. For instance, when a user starts his Windows, everything goes fine. But when he logs into it there awaits a black screen instead of the normal desktop layout. An average computer user finds it very disturbing and has no clue how to fix Windows 7.
However, the best way to find a solution to this problem is to fix the registry errors in your computer which become the cause of all major Windows errors and crashes. The registry in Windows 7 is a very important component of the entire operating system and it stores information about the Windows settings. If these settings are not adjusted properly then there start to appear strange computer problems such as Windows 7 black screen.
Here are some discrete steps you shall also take besides fixing your Windows 7 registry which is inevitable for safer and stable computing:
* Conduct an antivirus and antimalware scan. Fixing for malwares after a registry scan gives an extra protection to the PC and saves PCs from lots of dangerous infections.
* Start Windows 7 in safe mode and restore your PC/system to the previous date after which you received the Windows 7 updates. It is believed that some updates may be behind these screen issues in Windows 7.
* Adjust your display settings since the wrong settings may also cause the Windows 7 black screen also called the blank screen. You can do this by starting Windows in safe mode.
Follow all the guidelines and start from registry repairing scan for Windows 7 to fix Windows 7 black screen. The best available tool to repair registry and fix PC errors such as this is Reg In Out.

You might need to change the screen refresh rate. Go do Control Panel> Display> Setting> Advance, choose 60 Hz. In order to make your Monitor able to display, restart the PC, press F8 on the keyboard frequently upon splashing ( 1 or 2 seconds after PC restarts). Select enable VGA mode by pressing up arrow of the keyboard> press enter. The display should look bigger, then you can start adjusting the screen refresh rate to 60 Hz

Does it do so on all tapes? It sounds like you are experiencing a tracking or tape path problem. You might try taking the top cover off, then cleaning the video head. Info is available on the 'net on how to do this. If problem remains, play a tape and see it is wandering up/down across video head. See if any of the tape guides are broken or bent, causing tape wandering. you may also have a problem in the electronics, perhaps in the servo circuitry, which has to do with careful control of tape speed, video head rotational speed, and certain other parameters. If electronics are bad, then VCR is likely a tosser, unless it is a high $ rig. Most electronics are disposable these days, unfortunately.
