SOURCE: kia sorento diesel engine

could be you have a few bad glow plugs or a relay for them or a bad glow plug controler. the glow plugs are basicly a direct short that creates heat that warms the air in the cylinder to aid initial start.they can be checked wiyh an ohm meter. remove the wire and place one lead on the wire connecter of the plug the other to a good ground.you should have good connectivity. if not replace the plug

Airbags have deployed. Car will not crank

What is the reason for the deployment of the airbags , did you hit the car or they open with no reason. If you hit the car there is fail safe mechanism to stop the engine automatically.

Where are the airbag sensors located in a 2003 honda accord?

The sensor is usually encased in a pnuematic piston located in the front bumper. You ran over a curb? You hit the bumper, it deployed.

We had two separate accidents involving a deer the airbags never deploy in neither collision. How do i disconnect them?

They didn't deploy cause you hit a deer, the airbags sensors need to get a gforce reading to deploy, hitting a deer ksnt enough to do it

I was just involved in a head on collision with a tree, And i drive a 03 toyota tacoma and im very shocked that the airbags did not deploy,, And i definetly totalled the truck,,any answers would be...

I does not take much to wrinkle the steel. And vehicles are built with impact zones that are designed to crumble in order to absorb an impact.
Also hitting a tree, as long as there was no give, the air bags should deploy if you were doing 15mph+. If you hit a movable object like rear end a car it would be more like 30mph. But is not an exact science either. Say you were doing 30mph when you hit the tree. Did you brake just before impact? The speed would have been reduced by the time you hit the tree.

Then look at how that truck is built. Its a tin can. Its much less sturdy up front because it is a body on a frame. A uni-body would be stronger up front that that Toyota. The bumper is near nothing, not much of a radiator support, weak aprons. They just are not built like a Tonka truck. With all that stuff giving in there may not have been enough energy left to trigger both impact sensors.

There should be at least two sensors. One up front and one inside the cab (the cab sensor may be inside the airbag brain). Both sensors need to be triggered to activate the air bag. Also the impact needs to be from a straight head on to about a 30 degree angle left or right.

I have worked on a lot of Toyota trucks (fleet vehicles/delivery) over the years in the body shop. I have seen how weak they are up front and how easily they will bend.

It all depends on the speed you hit tree. BMW can scan computer and track back any faults. Hopefully SRS/check engine light wasn't lit when you were involved in accident.

in the U.S. the airbags are programmed to deploy @ 9mph(roughly the same as hitting a kerb hard.)so if the airbag went off you would not know if you hit a pothole, unless you went back to look....dont know any makers airbags that have recalls applied to them.
think of the litigation if there were...........
