Question about T-Mobile MDA
Last night I drained my battery completely. The phone shut off on me. This morning when I put it on the charger it wouldn't turn on at all. At first it flicked on to the startup screen only for a a second and then turned off. It did that twice. After that it wouldn't even do anything. It was still plugged in. The LED indicator isn't flashing like it usually does when charging. When I try to turn it on nothing happens at all. I took out the battery, dusted it off, and replaced it. I also tried to soft reset the mda with the stylus, per the manual. I also let it sit and charge for a couple of hours hoping the battery would get some power or something. Nothing worked. now it still won't turn on even when i've tried different chargers. I am so frustrated at this point! anyone know how to fix this?
This exact same problem happened to me. The problem is definately the battery and I wasn't going to pay $44 for a new one. So i spent about a week just trying all these solutions and nothing was working...but finally i remember from my childhood of having to put batteries in the freezer for all my toys so i could keep reusing them....so I took my mda batter and put it in a zip lock back and then threw it in the freezer. I left it in the freezer overnight (approx 12 hours) and in the morning i put it back into my mda and now the mda turns on and charges just fine. This should fix your problem....im glad i finally fixed mine because I LOVE my MDA!

Strangely enough, your phone charging circuit needs power before it can charge. Plug the phone into the wall charger, take another phone battery (5 volts) that has the plus and minus marked like your MDA battery. With the phone plugged in and your battery out, tap the other phone battery against the positive and negative terminals on the phone for a second and the charge light will come on. Quickly put your battery back into the phone. Let it charge until it will boot up.

I did plugged the original charger and worked fine. I have used different other chargers and did not work at all, even though the charger I have used has the same voltage and current or less, nothing else worked.

I've done the same thing but had the luxury of being able to put another battery in the phone. The phone worked after that

You need to use the original charger that came with the phone.
