Clarion Car Audio won't read Sony Walkman by USB connection

I have a new Sony walkman nwz-e436f that won't be read by my Clarion player dxz385usb in my car. It says ''Error 2.'' The Clarion website just says that there is sometimes an issue with newer Sony product - ''special software'' to read them? Is there another type of transfer wire than plain old USB to convert the data necessary to play my files on my Clarion? PLEASE HELP!

SOURCE: My clarion dxz385usb has no sound.

Check to make sure exposed wires aren't grounding themselves out. I just had this problem and after 2 days of re-wiring and re-checking almost every wire I finally found the culprit. The Remote wire from my amp has become exposed and grounded itself out. Unit worked fine, same problems you are having.

CAN I CHANGE THE SETTINGS FOR HOW IT DOCKS I WANT TO PLUG INTO MY CAR STEREO USB TO PLAY, BUT UNABLE TO AS IT DOCKS

Hi,

The USB cable supplied with the Walkman Player is for connecting it to the Computer. Once you connect the Walkman Player to the Computer, it will detect it as an MTP device.
For connecting the Player to a Car Audio System, it should detect it as an MTP Device. The operations by connecting the USB of the Player to the Car Audio System is not guaranteed by Sony.
However, you can connect the Headphone Out of the Walkman to the AUX Input jack on the Car audio system (if available).

My sony walkman nwz-e436f is full of songs but is now telling that no songs are available for playback. Is there anything I can do, I have already tried to reset but nothing happened.

It appears that your walkman is still turning on. When you connect it to your computer, check windows media player and look if it recognizes your walkman. If it is not recognized. look it up from windows explorer as a removable device, and take it from there.

Sony nwz-e436f frozen on connecting screen

Hey! We've had a similar dilemma, and we solved it by connecting walkman to computer, then going into 'device manager' uninstalling the walkman, then remove it from usb port and re-connect it.

The computer will then 'recognize new hardware' and automatically re-install the walkman. Good as new!

Hope this helps!
