the power/time light on my Mitsubishi WS-65713 is flashing continually. Ive tried using reset to clear - no help. Also had a suggestion power off / unplug for 10 minutes and then hold the power button for 10 seconds after power was applied. No help with this either

I would greatly appreciate your help in getting this problem resovled. I look forward to your thoughts...

There are several boards in the bottom of this machine - any suggestions on where to start?

As I continue to read, there appears to be a solution that might work related to replacing 4 capacitors. Can anyone provide pictures, documentation, etc that describes this solution?

Which of the modules is the DM module??

    Thanks!

Hi,
Download Service Manual of your TV form Manual Zone with small fee and find DM board in TV.
You need to replace small capacitors in DM board which are leaky or become weaker. Just replace all caps in DM board.

Here is an image , where could be DM board...

Rear projection tv's are very old, might be a bad component inside the tv and this cannot be solved by changing the settings on the menu only, you might need technical help.

It is the problem of the components going short due to getting old or due to over heat in the board.the board has to be checked with a multimeter to locate the faulty component on it and then replace it.the cost of components will be negligible but locating the component will be hard work .and can take much time. thanks.

You likely have 4 bad capacitors in your DM board. To fix you will have to take the DM board out of the TV, de-solder the ones on there and then solder on new capacitors. For those who would like instructions on this leave me your email and I will email them to you. I can't believe I was able to do this but thanks to Jaime for giving me the instructions and checking how to solder on Utube. No I had never soldered before guess it shows you can do it with some effort.

This can useually be fixed by changing C9B01, C9B02, C9B10 AND C9B11
you will need to know how to solder well in order to change these caps.
These are all located on the DM module.

If you have never soldered check look for
instructions on utube and with some practice you will be able to
de-solder and solder. A utube video that is great is athttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I_NU2ruzy.... Good luck.

First thing you want to try is plug it directly into the wall to see if your surge protector is not allowing the proper voltage. If that works. Go buy a UPS.
