Question about Office Equipment & Supplies
My laser printer, which i bought about 3 months ago has been working fine until last few weeks. Everytime I print, it makes a sqeeking noise or a straining noise that makes me think that somethings stuck in it or something. It sounds as if its going to break and I am really worried, because it was expensive.
I bought it through PC Business world place
The manual says if you are getting this clicking noise that the imager is loose and to take it out and reinsert it. This is the device that all the toner cartridges are inserted in. It just Pops out so it is easy to remove and reinsert. What happens is it gets loose in shipping sometimes and just needs to be reseated.

You all say that the toner cartridge is okay, so it could be the hole OPC Image Drum or the ITB which is the tranfer Belt.
The Tranfer Belt is behind the Image Unit.

With power cable removed, I had to unscrew the plastic covers, then metal plate on left side of printer to get to white plastic gears. When I pulled the metal plate away slightly, I heard something fall inside the printer. After shaking the printer a little bit, one of my son's tiny lego pieces fell out. When I reassembled, the printer works like new.

please lubricate the rod that the print head slides on, 3 in 1 oil or sewing machine oil work best. Just a couple drops on either side of the carrier will allow it to move easier.
