Question about Microsoft Gears of War for Xbox 360

Gears of war 2 graphics and memory

Ok.. so i just got an hdmi cable and set it up and evorything.. and i noticed that when i play online or splitscreen, when player characters get further away from view they start to change to a base color, and loose detail. for the cogs they start to turn a more glowing blue.. and for the locusts they start to turn a more glowing red.. now i thought that this might have something to do with the hdmi color spacing so i tried evory setting and its still the same.. now i also, for some reason, lost all my Flashback Players Choice map pack when i'm offline, but as soon as i sign in i can choose to play the flashbacks players choice. i have a hunch that both of these problems are connected somehow, which is why i posted them as one... if not then tips for either would be of great help.. thanks

The reason you're having issues with the Flashback Map Pack is due to MS wanting to authorize the content, why they still want to authorize it after you've purchased I'm not certain, have you played on all the maps?

The reason for characters getting muddy could be part of Unreal Engine 3, I've never noticed it as characters get farther away, only when a game is loading. I would find a basic TV calibration tool such as on Halo 3 or on any THX/Pixar movie. It could be an issue with your TV set. Hope this helps.

Sorry, MS is Microsoft. A TV calibration is a DVD that will help you set your sharpness, brightness, contrast, etc. for the best picture quality. In a THX certified movie, like any Star Wars or Pixar movie, it will be in the options or special features menu and be called the THX optimizer. Otherwise you'll have to shop online for Digital Video Essentials (DVE) or AVIA Home Calibration.

DVR620KU From the HDMI connector, how to get non-pinched vertical HDMI images on the TV monitor and on the DVD. Recorded DVD's have been Finalized

Using a DVD-RW disk, try ALL different recording settings even if they don't seem probable and record a sample. If output is correct with all BUT the HDMI-cable, go through ALL picture format settings on the TV when a HDMI-cable is used. Different discs and HDMI cables don't have anything to do with this. I'm still chewing on this...

When my blu ray player is on no matter what I do screen still says resolution mismatch, how do I fix it? Pushing play and stop does not help

Unplug HDMI cable. Connect Bluray to tv using composite video cable. You should then be able to access the bluray players menu to set the hdmi output to a setting that is compatible with your tv (see your TV manual for compatible resoloutions. Once set disconnect the composite video cable and reconnect the HDMI cable.

Ok I have had this happen a few times before. What I do to fix it is disconnect the HDMI cable while everything is still on and playing and then re-insert the cable back into the TV. This re-configures the HDMI signal and should hopefully stop this problem.

Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa

Panasonic DMREX85EBS recorder upscaling problems

Check the HDMI settings and your TV specifications. Press Functions on your remote and go to Display (up/down arrows). Press Enter. Go to Connections and again Enter. Then HDMI settings and Enter. Look for HDMI video settings. If the setting is automatic, the unit sends the output it believes is best for the TV. You will notice that the compatible video outputs are the only ones available for selection. (A new cable may be worth testing.)

I hope this helps.

Hi,

I have few options for you to get the video back on HDMI:
1. Try out changing the video resolution on HDMI set up (select 480p..1080p).
2. Play NTSC disc (to get the 60Hz out from Player). If your are in US.
3. Select the TV system as AUTO/NTSC to get the 60Hz out only on HDMI.
4. if the Deep Color option is available in HDMI set up menu..set it to OFF.

Let me know if you tried all these and still no output.
